Why we exist
Every childcare centre solves the same puzzle, every term: which children move to which rooms, when, without breaking ratios, splitting siblings or leaving spots empty. It’s a genuinely hard optimisation problem — and almost everywhere, it’s solved by hand, in a spreadsheet, by someone who has a hundred other things to do.
We watched it happen in centres we know well. The intake plan that took a week of evenings. The room that quietly tipped over capacity because three birthdays landed in the same month. The empty spot that sat there for a term, fully staffed, costing real money.
The systems centres already use — OWNA, Xplor and the rest — are built for billing, compliance and parent comms. They’re good at recording what happened. None of them help you decide what to do next. So we built the layer that does.
